The International Centre is a multi-purpose convention centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 6900 Airport Road, near the Toronto Pearson International Airport. The International Centre is one of the few privately owned convention facilities in Canada. Opened in 1972, the centre's exhibit space nearly doubled from the original following a major expansion and renovation in 2002. The centre now features over of exhibit and meeting space and approximately of gross space which includes exhibit, meeting, office and retail space paying host to a variety of festivities annually. Minutes from Pearson International, one of the largest airports in North America, The International Centre is closely linked to Canada’s aviation history. During the 1950s The International Centre site was used in the development of the AVRO Arrow, a technological marvel and part of Canada’s aviation lore. The site was purchased by a group of private investors from DeHavilland in 1971, which led to the development of its present use today, as a major multi-purpose facility. Having grown immensely in size and Client base, The International Centre today hosts over 450 shows and events each year.
